Finally I read it all and I have to say a huge thank you to Loolita for translation! And also for the interviewer for making such a great interview!
It was very funny and entertaining, I loved the sado-maso part, the sms part, the dinner part... lach I also liked how he admitted sometimes he laughed at the stupid falls, well, why not, sometimes it is just funny.

(OK, maybe Im laughing more when Mr. Mop or Mr. Zebra splats on the ice, but not anybody is as perfect as Brian...) lach

Yeah, was nice how he confessed he laughs at some stupid falls, although knowing it´s not very kind Very Happy I remember when Midori Ito literally flew over the board by doing a jump at some competition, although I was totally shocked in the first few seconds, when I saw she´s OK, I started laughing lol!

And Titi, your very last comment is just..... lach lach lach

It was Worlds 1990 - I was there (my first ever skating competition) & saw it live. She finished her programme & skated in the free the next day- no where near as well as usual, but was not able to take part in the gala. I still wince when I see the replays......

Well, I was ten back then, and the fall really scared me to death in the first moment. I was watching it with my parents and we were really speechless for a few seconds. It was really a miracle she finished the programme. I would definately be out of action after that! Yeah, Midori was a tough cookie super
(You know, I didn´t want to laugh at her, but just the thought of flying over the boards itself made me laugh later, not Midori Smile )

the truth is that falls are funny if the person who fell is ok. i remember one afternoon in highschool during winter. i got out of school an saw a bunch of people standing at the bottom of the stairs and watching the people coming out. the reason was the steps were slippery from the ice and everybody was falling.and the ones falling stood around to wait and see the next once falling. of course it was stupid but it was also funny hide8up

Soraya, I agree with Irina, Brian meant that he DOES NOT believe in witches and that's why he didn't care whether it worked or not, because it couldn't work when he didn't believe in it!
But the skater who 'hired' the so-called witch might have believed in it.
Thank you Irina for the explaination.

Plushy believes in witches? And he tried to put a spell on Brian? I didn't know that.

I do not know if Plushy believes in witches, but I would not be surprised. Someone who thinks that the sports psychologist of Yagu was a magician voodoo that he did that he was falling in Salt Lake City............. Rolling Eyes

Ladies...Before we get too involved in calling a part of another skater's entourage (namely, Plushenko's) a witch, please understand that superstition is part of old Rusian culture, and there are still quite a few Russians in today's world who believe that sort of thing to some degree in our modern world. Some of this is due to the mistrust many Russians have of the medical profession, and anything people don't fully undestand they assume it has a basis in the casting of spells and the creation of hexes. It came about as a way to understand the more puzzling aspects of the world at a time when getting enough correct information to form an educated opinion was next to impossible. This same sort of thing is at the basis of Alexei Mishin's assertion that Yagudin's sports psychologist was casting spells over Plushenko when be stood at the boards observing Plush's practices and competitions. To an educated person this is a crazy idea, LOL. However, the fact remains that there are those persons, who believe that hexes and spells work and that there are people (witches, warlocks, and the like) who put these appellations onto other people; they really buy into this stuff. To those who believe it, the experience of it does have an effect. For those who think it's all a bunch of hooey, it has no effect upon them.
